Andrea Kornbluth
Different Drummer
Etching and aquatint, Edition 20, 2022, 11 3/4" x 9 1/4"
Andrea Kornbluth grew up in Queens and spent eight years in Japan observing the work of a master conservator of lacquer work. The tools of conservation she absorbed, coupled with a BA in art history and Asian studies from Cornell University, and an MA in art history from Columbia University, led her to intaglio printmaking, which she studied at the Art Students League. She has an interest in American prints from the WPA era, and she is inspired by the Inwood community and imbues its urban landscapes with delicate lines. Her work is in the collection of the NY Public Library and private collections. akornbluthprints.com
