Jamie Brant is a Staten Island visual artist whose disciplines include oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, as well as papier-mâché, painted furniture, and digital paintings.  Brant has participated in a number of art exhibitions, including in San Francisco where she won an honorable mention in a juried show.  She was also featured in the New York Times column “Currents,” by writer Elaine Louie for her painted furniture.  Brant was a cofounder of Staten Island’s Galerie St. George, which held more than ten shows beginning in 2008, including her own work.  She was also a cofounder of the innovative online art auction house “140hours,” which featured more than sixty artists.  Today, Brant works in three studios in her residence, an 1885 Victorian built in the 19th century by industrialist Anson Phelps-Stokes, which she shared with her husband Gary and two cats.
