Patricia Langer attended the School of Visual Arts where she earned a degree in illustration.  She then pursued a career working to design and create illustrations for magazines and corporate reports.  She continued her education in art by attending numerous classes at the Art Students League, where she explored a variety of media including drawing and watercolor.  Langer is currently working at fine art printmaking, finding it to be a new, exciting, and expressive venue.  Initially, her work focused primarily on the figure, but now she has found inspiration in still life and cityscape images.  Her current work includes still life subjects in her studio, as well as views from her apartment windows in Greenwich Village.  Her work is characterized by a rich play of tonal values, with a sure and energetic draftsmanship.
