This painting was part of the Noble Maritime Collection’s 2024 exhibition, The Sea, the City, and the Golden Hour: Impressionist Maritime and Urban Landscapes by Robert Padovano.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Robert Padovano is known for cityscapes that incorporate both impressionist and pointillist effects. He often juxtaposes dabs of color, which, when viewed at a distance, gives them a luminescent quality. Padovano’s paintings are part of many collections, including those of US congressmen, foreign dignitaries, and professional collectors. He has exhibited his work at the Staten Island Museum, the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, Union Gallery, New Jersey, the E. Mayan Studio, Manhattan, the Gallery Space, New Jersey, the Artists Guild Gallery, Florida, and many others. His work has been included in juried shows at the Salmagundi Club and the American Artists Professional League, and has been featured in the Sing-for-Hope Pop-Up Piano Project for eight years. His solo exhibition The Sea, the City, and the Golden Hour: Impressionist Maritime and Urban Landscapes by Robert Padovano was on view at the Noble Maritime Collection in summer 2024. padovanofineart.com
