Sarah Rakes is a self-taught folk artist whose work is largely influenced by her rural upbringing in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas.  Her work focuses on the natural world and she mounts her pieces in handmade frames which she integrates into the final product.  Rakes’ work has been exhibited internationally and is held in both private and corporate collections.
