Homage to Kate Walker - Kathy Krantz Fieramosca
Oil on linen, 2015
This still-life features an oil can and lantern from the turn of the 19th century, when Kate Walker was keeper of Robbins Reef Lighthouse. The artist notes that the books symbolize her limited entertainment, and the rope from the block is arranged in a way that “protects and caresses her.”
