City Pop: Skyline & Harbor
The staff of the Noble Maritime Collection designed the City Pop residency program for special education students at PS 373R in grades 4 and 5. Our teaching artists visited the students weekly. The sessions prepared them to create a mural, as a permanent exhibition, in the hallway of the school’s second floor. The school’s faculty and students see it daily as they pass by on their way to offices and classrooms. It is a colorful depiction of the community in which the students live and attend school, and will serve as a lasting benefit of this year’s CASA program.
The Cultural After-School Adventure (CASA) program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and District 49 councilwoman Debi Rose.
